Our apartment is located in Mojon Hills, on the edge of the seaside village of Isla Plana.

Isla Plana is typically Spanish, with a sleepy atmosphere all of its own. A small harbour and lovely paseo are the perfect backdrop to several blue flag beaches.

The village benefits from everyday shops, including a fishmongers, bakery and general grocery. There are several bars and restaurants in which you can familiarise yourselves in the Spanish way of life.

Approximately 5km away is the town of Puerto de Mazarron, a typical old fashioned working fishing port and seaside town favoured by many Spaniards who visit from the major cities for their main holidays. The harbour normally lands two catches per day, so as you might expect, fish is a big favourite in the restaurants.

You will find banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, shops, open air market and most other services expected of an established town.

The area is still predominantly Spanish, with approximately 80% of the people here being indigenous to the country. Speaking the language is part of the fun of being on holiday and the locals are very receptive to foreigners trying to make themselves understood.

The area is beautiful and has many attractions to entertain and interest old and young alike. We truly love the place, which is why we bought a place here. We are certain you'll also fall for its charm and look forward to sharing this 'hidden gem' with you.
